My much loved '94 R package Miata got t-boned last month. So it now seems I'm now sitting on a Exocet donor. What do you think this is worth?

The Good

100k on engine, 170k on chassis

Jackson racing header

Big Aluminum radiator

R package, so it has a Torsen

Good 5 speed trans

Lighter than stock (steel) flyweel

Clutch, Water pump, Timing belt done ~15k miles ago

R package suspension & sways

Good Glass

Manual Steering

Good top.

Good Wheels & Tires.

The Bad

Crash damage to driver door & fender

Both driver side control arms should be replaced

Body Shell has some rust near the drain holes

Decent interior except for driver seat wear

A guy local to me strips Miatas and puts everything needed for an Exocet on pallets and sells them as kits. It would probably be worth more that way. Not sure what he charges but I would think the complete car would be ~$1000 or so.

It's worth more as pieces - this is how junkyards stay in business. As a complete car, I'd agree that $1k-$1.5k is the ballpark. Depends on how easy it is to get rid of the extra pieces.

Also tends to depend on where you are.
