Like in variable cam timing?  Or just base position markings?

( I can't remember if the ZTEC had two position or variable cam timing when (or if) it had it.)

One should be wary of any cam swap results for people who don't upgrade the intake manifolds.  That's usually a tuning bottleneck as it is.

You're already addressing that, hopefully with something sized for your power goals.

In base position.  Factory it has a 6 tooth marker on the rear of the exhaust cam.  The hall sensor is put through a hold in the head to read at at the rear exhaust side.  The aftermarket head on the car doesn’t have this allowance,

i think it it should be sized to make the power, long tubes, itb with 42# hr injectors and I think 48mm on each?  That should not be a bottle neck.

the only thing thus far I can think of is making a trigger wheel for the front of the cams and a mount to put the sensor on.  Any thoughts?  I looked and on initial inspection, I don’t think it’s easy to put the sensor through the head.

The Zetec in my zx2 has a VCT solenoid on the exhaust cam only. From what I’ve seen once you go after market cams you just delete it. Supposedly doesn’t do much anyway. People use adjustable cam gears to dial everything back in.

Yes, that’s deleted.  It’s the cam location readout for use to set multiport injection instead of batch fire
