Simple as that, what is your favorite, run of the mill, exported by the manufacturer to the US, non-special editions or limited run cars are your favorite?

Pics help too.

This is mine. I still think that thing looks great after 20 years.

Manual transmission FJ cruiser. Just a little weird. Fantastic to drive. Rubber floor. If something happened to ours we'd buy another one. Probably the only car we own that we'd say that about.

I loved my 1971 Datsun 510, although finding an unmolested one is like searching for a unicorn, I suppose. My Miata has been the least troublesome car I ever owned and I'll certainly have another one of these days..

First, I'll give honorable mention to the AW11 and the "answer".

Well, if we're talking complete run-of-the-mill...my favorite sleeper.... must have V6 and 6spd manual.

Just for my nostalgia...

I mean, other than the obvious, I've got a soft spot for the original CR-X.

Of course Miata---- and I've always loved the 84-86 Civic hatches too. Especially the 1500 S models. The packaging, low cowl, gearbox and enthusiastic nature of these cars has always appealed to me. Later Civics got too fluffy and nice IMHO, these were still plenty basic.

The Accord coupe V6 6 speed is an absolute sleeper. @ 5.5 secs 0-60, it is the same as a 2016 Civic Type R and is only 0.1 slower than an S2000 and both run the quarter at 13.8. For the record that is the same 0-60 as an original NSX and only a tenth slower through the quarter.

Now if we can just get it to turn in...

He said "non unicorn". Finding a true 240z is hard. Especially with the vertical defrost lines on the hatch glass. Most everything out there is 260,280z, and zx....

I'm thinking the unicorn status applies to when sold new. Yes, old cars can be hard to find in good shape.

If we were including unicorns, I've got a thing for the Pulsar Sportback for being the most 80's production car...in the world. They must have been a sales disaster, I've never actually seen one.

If you apply that standard, you can kill almost every car in this thread!

I have a soft spot in my automotive heart for my first car. This exact model and color. Purchased in 1986 and was about worn out by then so I can't imagine there are more than two left in the world in anything like original condition.
