Maverick does share chassis with Escape as well as Bronco Sport. Great choice if you can actually get you hands on one this year.
Ford is accepting no more orders for the hybrid (least expensive) version for this model year.

Man there's just not a lot of new cars available right now. Yeah, shocking. So I think my most likely path is gonna be a CPO 2018-ish Escape.

Hyundai Elantra N-line. Heated seats standard. Way better than a Buick. Why punish yourself. Don't be a cheap. Get something you'll enjoy at least a little.
