We attended our first rallycross with our Subaru Impreza a few weeks ago. We competed in the Stock All Wheel Drive category and turned some respectable times with our little blue wagon during the morning session. Unfortunately, a prior engagement kept us from completing all of our runs, and we were scored as a DNF for our second three runs.
The Continentals, as expected, were long on lateral grip in the gravel. However, they really struggled to pull the car out of turns. We'll be moving to a more advanced, modified all-wheel-drive class soon, so expect to see real rally tires in our future.
