What's that in the back of our work parking lot?

A car that's showed up with a plate sticker that expired 4/2016?

Cops stop by and the VIN is clean and nobody is inside?  Cop says it looks like parking tickets may have been under the wiper blade? Nothing they can do?

It's our problem to move and no legit junkyard will take it without a title?

Who has $1200?  Lost title, missing keys.  Ran when parked.  No low ballers.

You'll give me $1200 to get it out of there for you?  Still not sure it's worth that.

I can't remember the last time I saw one that old still on the road.

In northern Ohio we call that a car with "some rust".

Like a classified ad that might say, "runs good, has some rust."

Funny thing is our back side was full of skids and hose crap and our neighbor called us into the city and we finally cleaned it up.  Our new branch manager's plan is to let it sit for a while and see if anybody comes back for it.

I see them all the time, but as Angry says, never that rusty.

No title, and that much rust? That thing's a writeoff.

The key to that might be removing that expired plate and turning into the DMV as "found on road" first.

Or, just disconnect (cut) the axles and push it out to the side of the road.

You know, if the car is "leaking oil" you could have it removed much quicker.

That is because things don't rust all that bad in Michigan.  Too cold for chemical reactions and you guys aren't so crazy about salting every time it rains below 40 degrees.

If that passed e-check that would probably sell for $2k easy here.

If it were me, I'd strip it for parts, sell them on CL and FB, make some chairs for the breakroom from the seats, and sell the shell for scrap value.

Huh? Have you BEEN to Michigan? We salt the ever-loving crap out of our roads and have the rusty cars to prove it. smiley

I was merely commenting that I've never seen a Fusion with that much rust. Plenty of other cars, but not those.

Cops can't find the owner from the license plate?  Weird.    Maybe it is stolen but the owner isn't alive so can't report it.

Anyone check the trunk for occupants?   Just sayin'...

Fake news.

Lived in Michigan my whole life.Stupid amounts of salt are dumped on the roads here. It's not that cold till you get into the UP.  Lake Michigan keeps most the state below the bridge warmer (and more cloudy)  than states just to our west. Generally, in Grand Rapids area, we have a week or two during winter where its "too cold to salt".    Everything rusts here.

I wondered about the dead body in the trunk.

Cops don't care - not stolen or in a crime and not on public road or a hazard.

Manager going to call cop back to get owners address, if he has time.
