So it appears that, against better judgement, I purchased another Q45. This one being a 1992 model with a mystery fuel issue with 38k miles on the odometer. I have a feeling it's between the cheap fuel pump they put in or the questionable fuel pump switch done by the first owner. Either way, fixing both to hopefully hear it run again and tidy it up. Not 100% sure on what the endgame is yet. Is this the arc to where I become known as "The Resident Q45 Enthusiast"?

Stay tuned I suppose lol

1992 with only 38k miles on it?  I've always liked the early Q45s.  Good luck with it!

Technically, I've owned 3 Gen1 Q45s

#1 a 1991 in Ivory that I owned for one weekend $2014 Challenge weekend.

#2 a 1990 in Ivory, now your car.

#3 a 1994 in Hunter Green that had been converted, very well, to manual trans but was done a very long time ago. It had 238k was rusty and rough but OMG fun.

1992 w/38k, great!  The 1990 had 68k when I bought it

'92 is a good year. The '90 & '91 have a trans controller that started them in 2nd gear. Much like winter mode in other cars...but all the time.  I think the intention was to keep the car "gentlemanly" for daily driving. Also remember that these cars were very under rated on HP to comply with Japanese tax structure.

Your '90 has a swapped trans controller from a '92 ($22 off eBay) to make it start in 1st gear. Plug and play!

You ever see that image online of the house with like 5-6 PT Cruisers parked in front?
That, but Q45s, one of which that would be converted to sleeping quarters XD
