This car shocked a lot of us. B-spec weight, 138 horsepower, six-speed manual. Totally boring if you drive it boring, but actually fun and competent if you push it. Could use more rear bar though.

Interesting review. As I put in another thread, I'm potentially in the market for a new B segment car. Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta are at the top of my list. Interested in the Accent, but it seems more expensive. You're review listed the Accent SE with an as tested price of $15,900. Did Hyundai give you that price? All the SE models I've seen are advertised for at least $17,500.

those are typically automatics. THe one we saw/drovethis weekend was auto at $174xx. Manual trans drops the price $1000.

Our test cars come with the Monroney sticker in the glovebox. We use the price listed on that.

I had it for a week and came away impressed. Could be my future next 323 in about ten years...

I wonder if it has a place for my knees. A lot of Hyundais used to not give me enough tilt to get the steering wheel to clear my knees. Is this tall driver friendly, or designed for Korean sized drivers only?

I'm 5'5" and I bang my knee quite a bit in my 2011.

How is the gearing in the 6 speed? Would make a good rally-car for RA's B-Spec class methinks compared to all of the other cars allowed (lots more power, same weight).

Edit- And the base model is only $13500 here in Canuckland, plus taxes and all that other stuff. Cool!
