Planted Brackets

These are pricey, but I'm tired of struggling with race seat installations in Miatas. What I'd like to know is whether or not you still need to modify the tunnel to make them work, or if they will actually slide far enough to center to make modifying the tunnel an option. If that makes sense to anybody.

They're our go-to brackets. Tunnel mods depend on the seat, the height and the fore/aft location. I don't recall having to do any tunnel mods, but I only hear about that stuff second hand and a few whacks from a hammer wouldn't give our guys pause

I'm fully prepared to strike this car with as many hammers as necessary.

I'm using PCI brackets, which are similar... I had to do quite a bit of hammering on the driver's side. The brackets pictured above appear to have less offset to the right, however. I can say that the PCI brackets center the seat on the wheel.

What do you mean by "planted?"
