Hummm. @90k I am not sure that is good or bad as it is a prepared race car. What did a peeped rave car  cost new in 1980?  It may not be all that bad a deal.

I'm so glad to see such continuation cars being made, but they're always quite expensive.

Hope the company has success and sells a boatload of them!

I'd love to own a LHD mk2 Escort and I don't care if it had started life as a lowly Ghia automatic either...

To me , the Group 4 Escorts are the most iconic 2wd rally car ever. You only have to watch that video to see how much more exciting the old 2wd cars were than the newer 4wd ones. I had the good fortune to watch the works Rothman Escorts perform at the 1979 Rallye Criterium Molson du Quebec, which was a round of the world championship that year. They were being driven by Bjorn Waldegard and Ari Vatanen and it was one of those OMG moments every time they came by. Between the Escorts and the Andy Dawson Group 2 Datsun 160J s it was a pretty incredible event to spectate.

His navigator sounds like an auctioneer.

Very cool. They are being registered as new cars so the 25 year import rule starts now.
