In total, this Corvette kart built for the $2000 Challenge came out to just $1087.07–and that’s including the $750 spent for the donor car.

This isn’t just the result of excessive hacksaw use, however, as this Kart also features some serious fabrication like the custom-built suspension setup that uses coil-overs from an ATV. Presented by CRC Industries.

There's something very satisfying about seeing cars stripped down into karts like this. If I had the space to keep it and a place to flog it, I'd consider making one myself.

Wow! Now I know what to do with my red 2007 RX-8 that the paint flaked off of! I will just strip it down to bare bones, say 1500 lbs and tear up the autocross!
