This. I did that when my '67 Pontiac got hit. In DE it's a pain in the ass to get a salvage title. Plus, the car will forever have a black mark on its record if you ever try to sell it again (this is unlikely, of course, but it closes an option). Not only that, but no insurance company I know of will write you anything other than liability in a car with a salvage title.
