2011 Genesis sedan v6: any common problems or things to look for? 40,000 miles and all maintenance done by the book. What is a good offer to a coworker who is a good guy?

I have always liked them. I don't know anything about them other than when I was at the NE auto show in 2012 and the genesis was sitting next to the Merc (I think it was a c class of some sort) so I got to sit in both back to back I vastly preferred the genesis for fit finish and comfort. The layout of the car just seemed to work better for me than the Merc.

No idea on how they drive, reliability etc. Just a first impression.

I think the fact that you -don't- hear much about them says a lot. It probably means they are a decent appliance?

I test drove a 2012 back to back with a 2011 G37x and a 2012 V6 Accord a few days ago at CarSense. For me the Genesis was easily the better car. They were asking $22k with 25k miles. It had Nav, but no sunroof I think.

My uncle has a Genesis 5.0 R-Spec. Said it is a damn rocketship. Not sure about the V6 though.

There is a r spec for 33k with 9k miles. Seems like a good deal.
