Just remembered I saw a Pick-N-Pull thread here a few days ago. Apologies if it's a repost.
I feel like there should be EMTs standing by during that event. Did they edit out footage with the bodies that were laying next to the piles of parts that were abandoned after unsuccessful attempts?
That day, hernia surgeries shot through the roof...
I can carry a lot of injectors and converters but I imagine there are not many in that yard.
Give me a good handhold I put I could pickup any number of Honda motors.

I think the two guys with the big block were slightly optimistic
I'm above average strength-wise but I thing it'd be funny to have a few competitive strongmen carry a few thousand dollars worth of parts. Or hell, take the whole car!

They used to do that here about a decade and a half ago. I wonder how many long term medical injuries were caused. A friend and I carried out a Rx-7 engine and gearbox (together) at one event. Some folks carried massive weight with hoods and seat belts.

That car is also gutted, big time. I've done some strongman shows so really this isn't any worse - being able to self-design your own implements to be less awkward is great.
I'd imagine with 2 long driveshafts and 2 guys, you could sling a block between them and get it out. My local gym has a 1475lb train wheel combo that has been lifted by 10 or so 2-man teams. Anybody on that list would probably be hilarious to bring to an event like this.
That being said, having been in this business before, the way to make money doing this sort of thing is being smart, not just hauling a lot. I've seen guys slaving away for hours to pull a part they'd save maybe $100 on, while I was in and out with $500+ in profit in the same time without hard labor.
Yeah lemme just call up all the strongmen I know. I wonder if it's worth it to see about flying the guy with his pro card out from Japan.
Just show up with a busload of huge guys that I pay in food.
Two ordinary men with furniture-moving straps should be able to haul away any transverse powertrain they'd like.
all these years of crossfit might actually pay off at something like that.
The last one of these I was at- about a month ago- there were several guys sitting around offering to do the carrying for people. I didn't take them up on it as I didn't have THAT much. But there were some rather interesting tactics people took.
The most common it seemed was for people to find a truck bed liner- essentially a large plastic box- out in the yard and load it up with as much as it would hold/the guys could handle and then two guys would carry it across the distance. Wasn't too uncommon for people to be carrying an armload of parts and two or more tires strapped to their back (if I'd not been exhausted after a long day I should have done this myself).
The most impressive I saw was where a group of guys unbolted a full-sized truck bed- not the liner, the metal truck bed- and loaded it high with parts including wheels and tires. Four guys then barely managed to pick it up and carry it the required distance- they almost didn't make it as a fifth guy was pushing a large cart below it in case they dropped it and he almost tripped up one of the guys doing the carrying.
There's one of these coming up in about 2 months again here at a place that always has a number of L67's, so I plan to grab a full top end from one so I've got another SC, LIM and heads to play with for the Riv.
I'd pull every ls compatible pcm, bcm, tac module/pedal combo, etc and walk out with thousands in parts. Couple army duffel bags on each arm should be easy enough. I'm not carrying an engine to save $100

At least the ones here have restrictions on what you can use to assist/carry things- bags are explicitly not allowed. I didn't realize at the one I was at a month ago that one Home Depot-size bucket was allowed or I'd have brought one and carried out a lot more small stuff. Many also restrict how much of one thing you can get, especially with things like carbs, turbochargers, and such.
Of course, there were almost NO checking of things like this at the one I was at- they were barely watching the space you had to carry parts across unless there was something really unusual going on (like the truck bed thing).

ok. pcm with 2 feet of harness can be carried by shoving a seatbelt through all the harnesses and hanging the computers off them, same with anything with a harness. so i'd buy a seatbelt too 
then i would put all the tiny bits in a bucket if that's allowed. could also pull seat upholstery and use it like a big bag since it's technically a part.
Definitely saw what looked like seat covers being used as "bags". It sure does sound like a fun way to spend a day!

Bingo. Only way to make money in this game.
Oh yeah, you can do plenty of fun things with what's in the yard itself. Stringing together seat belts to make straps to carry things was pretty common, though they were also being a LOT less strict about things like how much rope you could use.
