i was gonna say, screw the damn 5 liter, a 2.3 turbo motor with a T5 and a 8.8 with a disc swap would not only make the EXACT same power/weight ratio, but would do it with less weight, better balance, and 4X the coolness.
as a completely unrelated bonus, you'd also pull down better mileage.
theres a few on the turboford boards, both early stangs and falcons, even some futuras and LTDs. the 2.3T motor is perfect for that era/engine bay shape, it looks like it was built for it.

If it wasn't for the towing thing, yeah I'd go 2.3T with a 5 speed. But for tugging a race car I'd rather have the 5.0's torque fed through a slushbox.
That Fulvia is really cool. Lancia had a reputation for building bleeding edge fragile cars back then, I did some digging around on the V4 a few years back and came away impressed with their thinking.
Very nice. I must admit that one of those rancheros and an injected 2.3 out of a ranger has been a pipe dream DD of mine for a long time. Might even auto it for added laziness.

No No No. A turbo Zetec with a BDA style valve cover for mega coolness.
I know this isn't a turbo engine, but it looks cool as hell.

O/T, but what are the small diameter SS tubes right by the valve cover on the intake side? NOS? That is a very tidy conversion, and I'd love more info.
