The Flairwagon that is.

CVT only and only available in Japan.

I prefer the Honda Freed

That has no flair.

Sweet, but it only seats 5. If they made an extended version that could seat 7, I'd be all over it.

I like what the dude said the other day......never buy a vehicle you can't sleep in.......this works.

Well, it has the minimum flair required, but is that really the Chotchkie's way? The Honda has 37 pieces of flair.

I read that the Mazda is actually a Suzuki with Mazda badges.

Now if only such vehicles were powerful, light, and handled well.

K20 Fit?

I like the Mazda, but tiny displacement + CVT = soul-draining leech of fun.

I had hopes of a seeing a new Mazda6 wagon. I clicked. I was not happy.

Since buying the Mazda5 I'm totally sold on sliding doors. I'd love to have a B-car with sliding doors. Sweet.

I agree with this, but I'd rather have a wagon with sliding doors. Or even better, a shooting brake.

...

If I ever have a car company, I'm making a shooting brake with sliding doors.

you do realize the Flairwagon is a "kei-car" sized vehicle?

Leave it to the Japanese to (unintentionally?) mis-name a vehicle. A wagon that has no flair...and to my eyes looks like it should be called the Flatwagon. As in Flat sides, flat front, flat nearly everywhere.

BTW, the shot of the instrument(s?) only shows a lighted speedometer...another cost cutting feature?

Yeah I've found kei-cars to be wholly inadequate for my needs in the USA, so I'm not advocating for this car in particular. But if a company wanted to release a Fit or 2-sized car with a sliding rear set of doors, I'd certainly be all about it.

Like many here, I barely fit in the Miata. I suppose The Suzuki Capp would give short people a reason to live, however.

I love sliding doors as Well and they are especially useful here in Japan with tiny parking spots. There is a car here that has one sliding door only on the passenger side. It slides back and you can get in the front or the back through the opening. I'll try and find a picture.

Here it is. The Toyota Porte.
