Saw two of these at the junkyard today
Says Type M15, ETOILE, and has a shooting star logo on them.
15x7
I like them! No use, but I wanted to find out if they were worth going back to pick up from the yard or just cheap chinese wheels etc

They're Etolie M15 wheels, usually seen on Audi/VW. They have a reputation as cracking when only a few years old, so I'd say leave them. Made in France.
If cheap enough, probably be neat to hang an air hose off of. Or water hose, pressure washer hose...
"Le premiere etoile, Guy Lafleur!"
The only reason I knew that.
I'm guessing there's a limited number of people on this board familiar with that.
Etoile was purchased by Ronal and originally was the cheap brand from Gotti. Those wheels were also sold as Ronal at one time with the "star" but no Etoile script

This also came to mind for me:

This is correct, if they have crazing they are worthless except for decoration. All of them do it and if they haven't yet they probably won't. Probably.
Oh yeah, if you repair a cracked one it will crack again right away 45 degrees around the wheel.
