I recently bought a collapsible WalMart wagon to haul photo gear. It has plastic wheels with an aluminum sleeve and then a bolt, so a bushing rather than a bearing.

I greased it with synthetic wheel bearing grease on the bolt/inside of the aluminum sleeve and outside of the sleeve/inside of the plastic wheel.

The bolt has a presumably-cheap nylock nut. I probably got grease on the threads.

Is this a problem? Will the grease block the nylock from engaging?
Should I replace it with jam nuts, or clean it up well and use locktite?

Thanks!
