that would work if he was putting an LS engine (5.3, etc.) in an S10 that originally had a 2.8.. won't work on a gen 1 small block, and probably not in an AMC..

personally, i'd just fire up the welder and make frame stands starting with some cheap aftermarket polyurethane Chevy "short and wide" mounts bolted to the engine...

Be careful what you put in front of a T5 and which trans it is - they have limited torque capability, even the WC series. GM only used them with their wimpiest V8s and a torque ceiling of around 300 ft lbs is a wise limit.
