Looks great! Would make one hell of a commuter car and would easily last 200k+ with proper care and maintenance.

I dig it. Although I'm sure it will be $50k+

Agreed. I think Tye S will be anywhere $45-55k

Yeah. Does Acura not offer manuals anymore?

I have stopped paying attention to modern cars tbh.

In reply to mr2s2000elise :

I think $57-62

I also think the aftermarket will be able to get 450whp from this engine with just an upgraded turbo, fueling and ECU. Let's hope that transmission is strong.

Both base and type-s models will share a 10 speed transmission with the type-s having a beefier setup and a re-calibrated sh-awd setup

So I am going to go with no Acura isn't getting its mojo back. At least to this Honda fanboi.

I'm glad to see they really did bring the Type S concept to life.

lack of a manual doesn't bother me in the slightest.

the availability of AWD with the base motor is a good move by Acura. and the starting price puts the car at a territory where it's just a bit more expensive than the Accord sport 2.0 that it shares a motor with.

and the Accord is available with a manual.

Pretty cool and not to far off from the concept. The concept screams [I can be RWD!!!] while the production model says [Look I'm still the same old Acura but with better styling and new powertrain]

I really wish Honda would have conintued developing their DCT. The 10speed auto is pretty good though TBH.

i MEAN, it looks nice. But its a direct stinger ripoff so of cource it looks good. Funny... the Japanese are finally returning the favor to the Koreans. lol

To be honest, I don't really see it. It doesn't look any more or less derivative than anything made these days.

I dig the new Acura, much better looking than the lump it replaces to my eye.

Can we wrap it in the mids 90's Legend clothes?  I think that body slightly updated would be solid.

I found out a autox acquaintance from solo nats worked on this project with Honda and he's a pretty opinionated RWD loving/driving autocross and he enjoyed driving this car.

this gives me lots of confidence for what this will be like to drive.

Yeah if we're going to make absurd, inaccurate visual comparisons, I'm going to say that it looks like a Jaguar XF. Because 4 doors, headlamps and a hood.

The intro video Acura released on YouTube had me pretty hyped up. I like the car a lot, and as expected, no manual transmission but that's the sign of the times.
