Yeah, the engine sound is great. Hopefully my neighbor upgrades his XKR soon so I can test drive it :D

I got to have one for 24 hours. Daughter that works at the local BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo dealer arranged it. I had the V6 with handling package. I could deal with it. The trans is 8-speed twin-clutch sequential shift with full auto or full manual mode, there's a switch that changes modes. No third pedal but full manual mode won't shift unless you shift it. Also a switch that makes the exhaust louder and deeper sounding. The thing that took me a while to get used to is the Eco mode, turns the engine off when the car is stopped and holding the brake pedal for more than 2 seconds. Take foot off brake and re-starts instantly, quicker than other cars that have this. Using right foot only, taking right foot off brake pedal and the engine will restart and be ready to go before you depress the gas. There's also a switch that turns that off, unfortunately it's default on so have to remember to turn it off every time you start the car. What amazed me is stock w/factory handling package it will easily out do my RX8 and Miata with suspension mods for handling and RS3 tires. Of course I could have a bunch of Miata's or many RX8's for what that car costs.

The Audi diesel I rented in Germany last year had this. First time I came to a stoplight I'm like "WTF, my berkeleying car just died!!" Took some getting used to, lol.
