Not affiliated in any way with Ford or with this dealer, but thought I'd pass on the King's Ford on the Northeast side of Cincinnati is showing 4 identical Maverick base model hybrids as being available at MSRP.  All are white, with a few options, and sticker for about $25k including destination.  Again, I have no skin in this game at all, but have seen a fair amount of interest expressed here about this vehicle in the past, as well as followed Tom's Maverick buying "adventure".  Maybe the great Maverick bubble has burst?

That spec makes me wonder if a fleet customer backed out of an order.

Are they actually available though? Every one goes through the same system and shows up in dealer inventory until officially sold. Identical spec base models in white sounds like a fleet order that just hasn't been picked up yet.

But in general I wouldn't be surprised if it's getting easier to find them available and at reasonable prices.

They say all four are in the lot.

Minus $20 to drop the Wi-Fi?

They have a lot of high dollar Broncos - not sure I could drop $65-$75,000 on one.

No cruise control? Dang. I might be going to Cincy this weekend if they had cruise...

What makes you think these don't have cruise control?

Not listed on the window sticker & went to that dealers website, looked at the photos & don't see anything that looks like buttons for cruise.

That's odd because cruise is standard equipment on them. Gotta be a fleet order someone backed out of. It's why the sticker says special order at the bottom.

It thought it was too.

The window sticker has very basic things listed like rear bench seat with under seat storage, vinyl soft console lid, and electric parking brake so I think cruise would be listed if it was there. That's why I looked at the photos. I think newer Fords have it on the steering wheel. Nothing there and I don't see anything on the stalks. Maybe it was removable if ordered as a fleet vehicle?

It is, (and was on these) removed if ordered as fleet. Seems like an odd way to save $50, and a hassle for Ford to even offer it that way.

I agree, it seems like the juice is not worth the squeeze from a manufacturer perspective.

I think I saw somewhere that most 2023s were being ordered with it removed, so part way through the production Ford just dropped it & gave the credit.

Hmm.  I havent heard E36 M3 about my order for a while.  I wonder how real this is, and how much it would cost to ship to NC.

Prior to the UAW strike, the 2024s weren't supposed to start production until the 3rd week of October IIRC. Not sure how the strike will impact that timeframe.

Nor am I.  The last communication I have is from ford June 30.  I re-entered my order for 2024 July 17.  Dealer said it was updated, but I haven't heard anything since.

I've been increasingly annoyed with my DD and would very much like to replace it sooner rather than later.

Ford's build and price tools say that cruise control wasn't included on XLs until '24 model year.

Hey, remember when most of the board shat on anyone paying remotely near MSRP?

FWIW, I recall reading elsewhere about a relatively low cost way to add the factory cruise control to a Maverick that didn't come from the factory with it.  I think it was on a Maverick specific forum.

The WiFi hot spot delete for a $20 credit seems like a bit of a ripoff ... betting this was deleted due to a lack of parts availability to put it in, and also that it would cost alot more than $20 to add it if it were a line item option.

I seem to remember reading that the easiest way to add Cruise to a XL Maverick was to swap over a used steering wheel from a Maverick that does have the steering wheel controls.  Given that finding a used Maverick steering wheel could be difficult to find, swapping over a Cruise equipped steering wheel from a recent Ford Escape (chassis mate) works also.

I seem to remember reading that it is "plug and play" meaning there is no need for "dealer programing" to make it functional.
Edit: seems to require FORSCAN which is cheap and can be done via laptop and cable.   I think you can now also just buy the Cruise buttons/switches for a Cruise equipped Maverick and add them to the existing Maverick steering wheel.

If I would have ordered a Maverick, my intention would have been to get the XL and self upgrade the wheel to get cruise.  I also would have sourced a set of used Escape alloys to replace the steel wheels.

Here is a screenshot of Ford.com showing standard equipment for a 23 Maverick XL, so it was standard at some point. That being said, they've changed the build on these so many times (like the Wi-Fi going away) who knows?

I dont know if prices are coming down or not, but I am happy with my ecoboost '23.

Cruise control is on the left side of the steering wheel, at least on my XLT.

I think you might need forscan for the cruise control update, seen a bit of that on the maverick boards. Not sure what that might do to a warranty.

I honestly dont use the cruise very much on mine, but I dont tend to see enough open highway to make it worthwhile.

The avg Ford dealer has ~30 days supply of cars on the ground. Mix tends to skew more expensive, so 4 cheap Mavericks is an oddity, and one I wouldn't expect to last very long in this market.

For grins, since I was in the area, I drove thru Kings Ford's lot this morning.  Not a Maverick to be seen, somI am guessing they all sold.  All are also gone from their website.  No surprise, I guess.  However, if a fella wants a F150, Bronco, Bronco Sport, or Mach E they have plenty of each.  I bet they have 50 of the F150's.

If you can enable cruise with a third party scan tool, meaning no module reflashes, it should have zero effect on warranty.  That would be like changing the DRL settings.  It's a configurable item.

Knowing some of the things fleet managers have done, they probably requested it because they don't want their drivers using cruise control.

If King Ford is anything like my local dealer, they'll have far more inventory than the lot has room for. My dealer has a secondary lot behind a local factory with 600 vehicles in it.
