Located 50 miles from Atlanta, Ga. Not my thing, but you have to admire their creativity and sheer nads for taking these in traffic.

Click start tour or Tour Index to find a specific car.

I watched a short TV clip about that the other day. Not really my thing either, but they had some cool and rare cars there.

The TOUR doesn't work, it says it's misdirected.

I'm waiting to go once it opens again. The Lane museum is fantastic for odd/interesting vehicles. Definitely worth a visit.

There is a smaller one in Tampa that is worth a look if you are in the area.

That's totally my thing. I love microcars, and would have no problem driving even the smallest, goofiest microcars.

Actually, it does. It appears that only the link on that first Messerschmitt roadster's page is broken, because if you start elsewhere, it links fine.

"...there's a smaller one in Tampa that's worth a look".

Almost hilariously redundant: a SMALL microcar museum?

I found that place by accident driving by for a work trip last year but it was closed then too. I haven't managed to make the hour + drive back there but it looks cool as all get out. There's an Isetta on a pole out front, which is what made me slide to a stop in the middle of the road to check it out.

Note it's put together by the Double Bubble bubblegum millionaire. It's on "Double Bubble Acres" No kiddin'.

Well it is a smaller version of the Lane odd/interesting one. I don't think they have too many microcars. More like Tatras and the like.

I pass this place all the time and always wanted to go in thinking it was some sort of bubble gum factory/museum place, lolol. Never knew this was what it really was or I would've tried going in there long ago (assuming it was open). I'll definitely be making the trip as it is only about a 30 minute drive from me.

FYI, this microcar museum is selling everything off in a couple of weeks. I couldn't make it for the auction due to other plans, so I decided to make a spur of the moment trip down to Atlanta tomorrow so I can get to the museum the last day they're open on Saturday. If you ever wanted to see this collection, you better figure it out fast!

Our sports car club was supposed to do a field trip there years ago. I can't recall if it ever came off.

The kids and I went there a couple years ago for a BMWCCA event. They had a couple cars there to drive. I got to drive a Messerschmitt! The kids thought the cars were cute.

I bought my 89 suburban about 5 miles from that place. I really wanted to stop, but we were trying to hurry and beat the Atlanta traffic (we didn't).

Bummer about it being closed and auctioned, but looks like everything is at no reserve, so there might be some deals. I'm tempted to check it out.

+1 on Lane motor museum. It also pays to call ahead too, last time I went they were giving tours of the basement and taking folks for rides in their cars. They have a great collection and are really friendly and knowledgable about their collection as well. I'm looking forward to another trip soon.

I'll be there Saturday. If any of you see a (really handsome) red headed guy geeking out, that's me...come say hi! I'll have my wife with me, so that would also help to convince her I'm "normal" because there are other people like me that like microcars.
