I had Safelite out to replace the windshield on the Xterra after it was cracked by a rock hit. Unfortunately, I had to run out to pick up my kids while it was being replaced and wasn't there when he finished.

The seal/trim rubber (whatever it is) around the windshield now sits like this, where the corner tucks into the pocket around the glass, partway across the top, and down the driver's side. However, on the passenger side, it's not tucked, nor is it tucked into the glass in the top middle.

Is that normal, considering the polyurethane sealant is doing all the heavy lifting in terms of attachment and waterproofing? Should I be calling them back out? Help?

It occurs to me this is the first time I've had a windshield replaced in 25 years, so I'm not sure if I'm being neurotic or not. It just doesn't look right.

Call them back, that's wrong and looks like $h!t! I wouldn't even settle for that kind of job on a race car.

I agree. Let them know what happened--I think they'll take care of you.

May not leak but doesn't look professional. Call them back out.
