Aren't y'all forgetting the 5+ years of "teaser" fake images of vapor ware & then when the actual vehicle is finally brought out it is a 10+ year old design that looks nothing like the "teaser" images? Or have I just been overwhelmed by cynicism?

I feel this way about every high profile car launch.
I would really like a reason to love Nissan again however. Their current lineup is so depressing.

I think the hopes of it being a BRZ competitor will come to naught. Its platform mate is in the high 3000lbs range. I think we can hope it's an update of the current car's philosophy. I suspect it'll be a Supra competitor, as it has been in some historical periods. Weight of the 370Z and current Supra are pretty favorable compared to their 90s counterparts. The 917 Cayman/Boxster is not that far off a Supra 2.0L or 370Z...
Hopefully they'll offer a manual, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's Nissan so they'll probably just put a CVT in it

the ass end is all I needed to see that they screwed up once again. 250hp, turbo STRAIGHT six, sub 2800lbs. A *lightweight* is what will make it a performer and stand out from the crowd. The sugar scoops in front are all wrong. Another botched surgery Dr. Nismo. With Porsche making NA straight 6's with 500hp, can we shoot just a LIIIITTTTLLLEEE higher than 250 hp for Nissan's goal??
Especially since most 2 litre 4 cylinder turbos make that or more horsepower and good torque too.
After bashing Nissans for years I'm kind of excited and wil be watching the unveiling next Tuesday.
Of course I'll be traveling for work and will be sitting in a Holiday Inn Express motel room with nothing better to do.
Today's the day, yeah?
No mention of anything Z-related on Nissan USA's site.
Ah, went back to the first page to find Colin's reference to https://www.thenissannext.com/
Which in turn wants me to register for the digital unveiling... Ugh. I'll check this thread when there are pics and specs.
EDIT to note that however glum their marketing campaign makes me, I'm interested enough to have changed in here, right?
