At the yard today, noticed the valvecover on an older (91, I think) nissan pickup truck - what gives? Was this standard? Did someone do some engine swap?

It was about 6 or 7 10mm bolts securing it, pretty cheap to get, thought it was neat.

A 91 should have had the KA24 engine.

The early (86.5 and up) hardbody pickups had the NAPZ 2.4.  Ours, though, had a steel valve cover.  This looks like the valve cover from my 1980 200SX which interchanged with the 2.4.  Either they changed engines or they changed valve covers or Nissan "upgraded" them.

PS, they polish up very nicely.

PPS, I've never seen one that was USB enabled!

It (USB cable) was the closest/first thing I found that I could use to easily carry the cover without having to get my hands oily

That's from an 81-82 Nissan 720 truck with the Z22 engine. Will fit on later ones with the Z24 as well, but it's only a cosmetic upgrade.
