Starting this February, Zac will head out to compete at 23 races at 21 tracks across 17 states, with many of the low-buck races happening only days apart. In total, the 11-month trek will …

I remember the dude(s) that drove a Chrysler k car wagon to many races one year.  That was nuts.  They "upgraded" it over the course of the travels ending up with a mitsu v6 and manual at one point.  It was always broken.

This reminds me of that quite a bit.

he intends to raise at least $23,000 for Lemons of Love,

How to make $23000 racing:  start with a much bigger number

I mean, you're not wrong. Entry fees are up to about $1700 or 1800 per race now. 23 races will cost over 40 grand in entry fees alone, unless 24HoL is comping him some/all for his charity work. Not to mention 30,000 miles, with some on track, will burn through around 5 grand in gas.

Did you see how the K car met its demise?  Let me see if I can find the YouTube link.  It's awesome!

Yes, this van appeared last year and we talked him into bringing it to more races.  If I recall, we had it at Road America (I was a judge for that race).  It's sooo cool.
