Howdy,
Any Pulsar Turbo users on here? I've recently purchased a PSR2867R (thanksgiving sale). Issue is I didn't give it a super mega gander when I got it.
Fast forward to last week I found out the actually have through holes instead of blind holes in the turbine housing to fasten the housing to chra
I've reach out asking for a replacement and they keep telling me it's fine.
Never seen through hole in a turbine housing from a manufacturer so I wanted to know if:
-it is common amongst psr turbos
-if it is common do psr users experience any gas leaks
Note there are actually 2 holes that in the picture. The 2nd hole is further down the volute
Don't know if it os "normal". But I think it could be fixed with a little welding.
Can't speak to turbos, but I do know it's relatively common in older cylinder heads to have threaded holes end (i.e., open like your picture) in the intake ports.
Sorry I can't be of help, I came with something else in mind.

Maybe I'm overthinking it

We all like to do that :) A bit of blue lock tite would act as a nice thread sealer to put your mind at ease...
In reply to WonkoTheSane :
Not when the housing is glowing orange, though.
Yeah came in here for good Nissan content.

My aunt traded in her second generation, four speed Camaro on one of those^.
Not a popular choice amongst the nephews.

Sorry for the misleading title :(
My mother had a Pulsar loaner while her new Maxima was in the dealership for warranty work in 1985. It was a neat little car, but not nearly as quick as the Maxima.
I'd be tempted to call the manufacturer and see if this was normal for them. It's probably not a big deal, but seems kind of shoddy.
