The Nissan March may not have a reputation as a high-performance Nissan model, but a few interesting versions did pop up over its lifetime.

90.6 inch wheelbase, 1631 lbs.  I'd rock that.

Mighty Car Mods on YouTube have a fantastic series on buying/importing/modify one of these.  It's well done and the car seems like a joy.  Marty/Moog have access to some pretty great machinery but they seem to be counting this one as a keeper.

And also #HONK

I'd have one  of these in a second, I'm a complete sucker for this era of lightweight tweaked little hatchbacks.  This, or a Mazda 323 GTX?

You can get a lot more HP in a simpler engine for less $ for sure. Even in it's day, I would understand all the complexity if you were competing in a Kei-class race series, but it was their own cup race. To me, it is an impressive engineering package that would be fun as hell to drive. Don't waste time trying to compare it or understand it, just wring it out and enjoy.

AKA Nissan Micra in Canada sadly never with anything but some anemic four. March was the base for the S-Cargo etc.

As I am currently racing a 100hp 1600lb car I'd day yes I'd happily have one of these.

In reply to Carsandbikes :

It sure looks that way, unless there is a plug under/behind the intake charge pipe.
