Most air-cooled beetles used remote reservoirs. Pretty much any VW restoration shop will have them, as well as the proper hose for plumbing it to your MC. I mounted one in the trunk of a Cobra replica when I redid the apply system last summer. Bent up a bracket from TIG rod and it worked great.

You can turn any master with a plastic removable res into a remote master with barb fittings and hose. Look at wilwood remote masters for ideas.

My 62 used a remote mount reservoir from the factory. The master cylinder is under the floor and the reservoir is mounted on the firewall.
