Found this at the mall the other day, very rare to find someone who's done this in my area. A nice S13 240sx conversion into a Silvia. I have liked the looks of the Silvia over the pop-up headlight US spec 240sx. This particular example was done well in a color that doesn't make me want to puke. The choice of wheels also compliments the car. I have always wanted to do this conversion.
I wish the owner was around because I wanted to find out if it had a SR20DET conversion as well, or if it was still running the KA24.
Funny how after all these years of being into cars...things like that perty S13 bore me...
More interested in cheap and fuel efficient these days.
Not boring to me. That's a great looking car and done to what looks like a high standard and with attention to detail. I'd love to have it in my driveway.

Neat car. Unusually tasteful looking, for one of those.
I want to put the Silvia front clip on the hatchback (180SX) body, creating a 'sil-eighty'.
I drag raced one of those (SR20DET) that friend owned, back when they were just a year or two old. It was a fun car stock. Of course he was a tuner and it wasn't stock. I fully understand why the drifters love them, they are a blast sideways.
Yeah i said that about a drag car
yea its rare that you see those that are 'finished' like that. i cant remember the last one that looked nice around here.

The word that comes to my mind is "clean." That car would really stand out where I am.

Clean yes.
But also boring. That car was always a snoozer from a looks / styling perspective.
Reminds me of this one. Found it when I was ordering my engine.
I've really liked these ever since SCC built one as a project with an SR20DET back when I was in high school. I'dreally like to have one but it is hard to find one that isn't all chewed up. It always makes me sad to think that from about 2000 to present there hasn't been anything really like these, slowly depreciating nicely but not so cheap that they're too worn out.
It makes me hope that Ford sells a ton of the new V6 Mustangs, so in ten years there are a bunch of them just ripe for the plucking.
we used to have a few nice ones running around the panhandle... mostly Ft walton area ("kids from eglin AFB mostly)... one with one of the smaller RB engines.
I love how simple that one looks... would love to pick one up at some point... I test drove a stock one a few years back (when I was first getting into cars)... maybe one day one will fall in my lap...
Those and integras with JDM front clips are a fairly common sight around where I live.
BTW, the car in which I hotlinked earlier is for sale. $6500. Its up in Canada. Here's a link if anyone is interested. I first noticed it years ago. My only worry would be that its just sitting without being cared for. It does have an SR20DET Red Top though.
Heres the linkarooni.
I have seen one or two over the years on CL, none were ever finished, tho. As Luke says, "...would like to see this conversion on the hatchback". For some reason , it's always the coupe (which I always thought was the rarer of the two) that gets the Silvia look.
The JDM Integra looks nearly the same as this.
There's a nicely done one in the garage i use...

Keep me in the loop what that one goes on sale.
I got behind a modded 240 the other day. It was late and I was taking the cloverleaf from the Atlantic City Expressway to the Garden State Parkway hard.. not tyre squealing hard.. but faster than 99% of all cars would want to go.
Made it to the very end and really got on the ti and was suddenly confronted with an aweful noise and the smells of burnt/oil and unburn fuel. I immediatly had bad thoughts that I had killed my ti and backed off.. and the noise vanished too.. so I was really freaked and got off at the next exit to assess the damage.
That's when I realised I was behind a 240 with a HUGE fart can that was making all that noise and the smells.
It went (and smelled) like stink when he got it on.. but I stayed with him due to the high numbers of corners. Grip over slip
Yes, that is a nice clean car. Hope the owner keeps it like that.
