our '95 lumina LS recently started acting up on occasion... it's becoming more common now...

basicly when in OD you'll come to a stop and hit the gas, the engien will rev and it seems the trans isn't down shifting or something... it's just slipping, you slowly gain steam but not quickly thats for sure, if you manualy shift it down a gear or 2 all is well... the 1st time it happend i thought it may be down on fluid, I checked and it was down a little, topped off... but it's still happening

any thoughts on what this could be?... i know little about slushboxes... my best thought is to change the filter (i'm sure it'd due) with fresh fluids... any other thoughts/ideas?

thanks mark

Disconnect the lock up solenoid (driver side of the car, round or square electrical connector on top of front side of transmission, unplug)

Drive and reassess.

Replace it. Those transmissions are not very serviceable. You might be able to get it a bit farther with a fluid and filter change with a quart of Lucas put in, but that's just a band aid.
