Sounds about right price wise because of that engine. It's also extremely clean for a dodge of that vintage, hasn't been a 93 in PA that rust free since after it's first winter.

I'm pretty sure he means 12 valves... which doesn't sound quite so special.
I can't comment on the pricing, but generally speaking cars don't rust in Bend Oregon. So if these really are special, it may truly be a rust-free example of something special.
They are valuable and do change hands for some silly money; though that is high even for them. I'd peg that one to sell quickly at $15k
Part of the problem is most people here seem to think every vehicle should be selling for Challenge prices.
Yeah prices spiked on 91-93 12v trucks hard. The 89-90s not far behind. That's why I'll probably never own another even though I really like them.
Rotted-in-half early Cummins trucks fetch like $8k+ here, so yeah, that's the going rate. It's insane, I know.

Sometimes newer and nicer aren't always better.
But in this case I'll agree. WTFBBQ?
Man, I do not know the truck market... it is true we don't rust out here in bend. They don't even use salt on the roads. (I guess I can thank a hippie)
A wise old farmer (he actually made substantial money at it) once told me this: a Powerstroke is a decent engine in a decent truck. A Dodge Cummins is a phenomenal engine in a crap can.
Get the Ford (you can start with a gasser even). Get the Cummins (heck they’re in everything from combines to school busses). Marry them together with the wealth of knowledge on the internet and the available kits. You now have a Fummins. Fummins > Ram. And you’ll have less in it than that square body Dodge. Lots less.
look up Westin Chamberlan on YouTube. I’m too lazy to link it.
That truck is in really nice shape, not a lot of miles for 27 years old, desirable engine, 4x4. Up here in the PNW cars don't rust, and 4x4s are more popular than anything else. Especially diesels when it comes to big trucks. Also Dodge fanatics are Dodge fanatics.
His price is too high but it wouldn't surprise me if he gets $15K. You can't buy a mediocre diesel 4x4 of any age that doesn't need work for less than $8K.
