Looks like the reports of the Viper's death may have been greatly exaggerated.

"finally allow the driver’s seat, steering wheel and pedals to all line up."
I don't think I've ever been in a car that did.
Of the two that I currently own, one has the steering wheel offset and the pedals offset to the left so that the throttle is beneath the steering column (RX-7), and the other has the steering wheel offset to the right yet aimed at my left shoulder, and the pedals offset so far to the right that the clutch pedal is inline with the driver and there's little room between the brake pedal and trans tunnel (VW).
Getting out of the VW and into the Subaru is an interesting experience. Between the different offsets and the vastly different pedal spacing, I end up stabbing the brake when I really wanted the clutch. Anyway, the VW is why my "street shoes" are beat-up old RJS hi-tops. Can't drive it with anything wider.
