no the vette wheels will not work without giant spacers. like 2"

they fit on a 4x4 but 2wd has different offset

if you want to bite on spacers, i'll sell you a set of 17x9.5 91 sawblades for much less than $300 and drop them off next time i come south to pick up a car

It has been a long time since I updated the thread so here goes.

Everyone is aware I hope of the TrailerParkcet. It will be donating it's engine to the s10. Not the s10 in the beginning of this post because I sold that one to Dave on the forum.

It is going in the 1992 s10 I bought last year for $600.

Why start with a more expensive truck you ask. Well mainly because it runs and I have been using it as a truck for the past several months. That and it is already a stick which will make my swap easier when it comes time to stuff the LT1 and t56 in it.

Here is the picture from the auction where I bought it.

I dig the wheels and the flat black paint. Not to mention it has the blazer fender flares already which is something I planned to add later. Score!

The truck drove surprisingly well, but it wasn't perfect. The seat was tore up, the headliner sagged and was composed of a rebel flag with a large mouth bass on it and tape. As if that wasn't enough it smelled like an ash tray. So first step was a little interior refresh.

Total cost to do the headliner was $20.00. That's what I paid for the material at the upholstery shop near the car lot. I had the adhesive in my garage from last year's boat interior project.

Some of you may recognize the color of the interior trim panels. Yes that is leftover rustoleum from the Fiero parking lot disaster...

Much better!

Here are two pictures of the interior after a good scrubbing. I have a few before pictures that I will have to dig up...

Notice the ripped seat...

I came up with an an idea! It involved the rear seat from an infiniti that I was going to scrap. Will it work?

Looks possible...

A little welding for the seat back bracket and voila...

Currently searching for the flag with the bass on it, I think my build needs something like that.

You are awesome for putting the infinity seat on the Chevy frame (and other reasons)

The wheels from the TrailerParkcet have a new home...

The two inch spacers from the Chevelle worked perfectly.

Monday I hit up the junk yard. I am $100 poorer but in exchange I walked away with a set of zq8 front Springs, a zq8 steering box and both sway bars

We need to talk shortly, I'm hoping to head your way in a few weeks. Life after challenge has been more insane than life pre challenge

Confederate flag with a large mouth bass pictured next to an American pickup. Wow.

I can't help but think this is the kind of thing you could buy at the flea markets on the main route between Jacksonville and Gainesville.

Add to that photo a 19 yr old girl in Daisy Dukes and a dude with "summer teeth" and you'd have some sort of Southern stereotype.

Belltech 3 inch drop leaves from ebay. $156.00

$126.00 2 inch drop spindles

$49 each dirt track upper control arms...

There is also a 1 inch block kit in the speedway box. It was like $25.00 or so...

That should net me a 4 inch drop in the back and 3 or so up front with the spindles and zq8 Springs...

You and dusterbd13 were the inspiration.

A quick and dirty budget break down...

$1150 Firebird Trans Am

-$735 parts sold =$415 Trans Am balance

$600 truck purchase = $1015

$75 wheels from dusterbd13

$126 Drop spindles

$156 Drop leaves

$100 Junkyard Springs, bars, steering box

$60 motor mounts

$125 control arms / lowering blocks

$100 nitrous setup

$20 head liner

That puts me at $1777.

I still have $300 to recoup not to mention the LT1, T56, LSD and the brakes from the Trans Am that I will swap over.
