I used to own a Tiger years ago but have been out of the loop for awhile. I thought I'd ask here before trying a Tiger forum. I have 6 x 13 Shelby rims originally from a Sunbeam Tiger on my Triumph TR8. I think they look great (similiar to minilites) but good 205/60 x 13 tires are starting to get harder to find and I may have to go to 15" rims some time down the road.

Its my understanding that the Shelby rims were an original dealers option for Tigers back in the day. They'll also fit a number of cars with the same bolt pattern - Spitfire, GT6, TR7/8, Alpine, etc but I was wondering how desireable are these rims to Tiger owners. Are they considered a rare piece or are they plentiful? If Tiger guys are all over them, then I'd give them the first option if I do sell them.

You may want to try posting this on the CMS forum as well. There may be more Sunbeam guys over there.

Pretty rare, I'll buy them if perfect.

I forget the option number - LAT22 or something. Don't let them get away for free! I don't remember them being a "shelby" item . . .

Are they LAT wheels or aftermarket Shelby (Carrol Shelby Wheels brand) Minilights?

In reply to Woody:

These are not the LAT wheels but the Shelby wheels. They look very similiar to minilites but have Shelby inserts and were painted gold when original. I've always believed they were sold through Rootes dealers as an option for the Tiger?
