I really, really want to run my car in the Texas Mile.

Unfortunately, the Texas Mile is just over 1,500 miles away from me.

Are any other organizations doing events like this on the East Coast?

They run in Ohio with ECTA.

Try Googling the Maxton Mile. They run at the old Army airfield in Maxton, NC near Laurenburg.

The Ohio Mile per HalfTrac replaced Maxton this year.

It's located outside Wilmington, which is located in-between Cincinnati and Columbus.

If you're close enough to check it out, they're final event of the year is at the end of the month.

There's also Loring ME. You can get info on all the sanctioned races on this LSR forum http://www.landracing.com/forum/index.php

Hmm, I'm going to have to look into some of those for next season...
