In reply to Rodan :

I am going to see if a hand dolly will work first.

I might even try to see if a jack will.

Not sure of the geometry but I'd bet the left side of the trailer only needs to come forward about 6".

I did that to haul sail plane Trailers around the airport, The ball was on the front bumper so you can see what's going on and not get carried away going to fast.  The problem was with all the weight on the front and wide bald grass tires on golf carts you lose traction easily.  So unless you have to go distance I think the lawn tractor with a ball in the front would be great.

In reply to 914Driver :  Putting weight bars on the front of the lawn tractor would likely solve my steering challenges...  What I was wanting to point out was a lawn tractor might not be a safe means to move around a heavy trailer...

Seeing Tom's parking arrangement, he should have no problem shifting the front of his trailer the amount he needs, even with his van...

Cheers

In reply to ggarrard :

I went outside tonight and simply chocked the right side tire, jacked up the front and shove it over 12".

I can now focus on wiring up the van for a 7 pin connector and getting a trailer brake controller.
