I really like these Opel GTs. That one looks really clean.
Yep, wanted a GT way back when they were sometimes available used. Haven't seen one on the road since the mid '80s or so.
Don't see many Suzuki vehicles these days (I think they recently pulled out the US market). And I've never seen a Suz truck (re-branded Nis Frontier).
Happened to see one today. My take:
- The "gas" fill cover is ugly ... they should hide it like Tesla.
- The gloss trim on the bottom should be matte, its all wavy and looked crappy.
- Otherwise it was alright. The Explorer looks way better.
It must've been wagon mafia day yesterday going to work. I saw a clean bugeye WRX Wagon, 90s woody Buick Roadmaster Wagon and a newer Benz E400 Wagon all in the span of 10 minutes.
This mornings sighting was a 2 door non RS Subie Impreza Coupe.
Last night, while filling up, and also giving $40 to some guy who either had a really bad sob story or was a really good actor (either way, meh, worth $40), saw someone leaving with... "some"thing. Kinda big, greenhouse set really far back, modern looking but it had a giant 1990s looking St Louis Arch wing on it, like the "my recent brain surgery went quite badly" option on a JZA80 Supra. [C&D review quote]
Squint, squint.... hey, that's a NEW Supra.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Front and center stopped at the traffic light on the street I had to turn into to get to the gas station was an Evo VIII/IX with a mahooozive intercooler. Stock Evos are unicorns but I haven't seen ANY Evos since forever, either.
I may have accidentally made turbo noises as I drove by.

Probably not a real one, but this guy was out for a Sunday drive. I assume the front of those were fugly for the sake of aerodyamics?
It's probably real. They really aren't THAT rare. It's just that every one of them lives in a rich baby boomer's garage. And there are slightly more of them in captivity than were ever built so...yeah. Could be a fake too.

I love the look of the Opel GT, I think the newest Miata RF looks a lot like it.
In the future, I will probably get the Miata and do everything I can to make it look like a clasic Opel
V70R out in the snow the other day (can't remember the last one I saw)
