Peugeot 403 I saw on 95 yesterday. Don't ever remember seeing another one.
In reply to Saron81 :
The 403 was not real common here in the states even when new. I did a french car museum tour in 2003 and only saw one or two in two weeks and 7 museums.
I've seen this i8 around a few times, but could never get a pic. Looks like it has captured the attention of others as well:

Yes this is a Lada in great condition seen in lower Lonsdale North Vancouver yesterday
So seen last night with no pictures a Dodge motorhome on a 60s van, a mid seventies Lemans, and an 80ish Camaro all in good shape all within a block of each other on the local res.
Had a Lada like that just out of high school. Put a Fiat Twin Cam and 5 speed in it. It was a hoot. They are a really underrated little car. The whole suspension setup is exactly the same as a Fiat Spider. 5 link rear end. Double wishbones up front. And they had huge brakes. The rears were finned Aluminum drums with an iron liner.
I had an unhealthy fascination with Ladas in the late 1980s when they were really cheap and relatiely easy to find in Ontario.
Not great cars. Not even good cars, in terms of reliability. But strangely appealing. I also liked the Skodas we got in Canada, but I never drove one.
The strange thing is that Lada was covered in a fine layer of dust as if it had sat in a garage for 35 years and just been brought out.

That is original, highly creative, and well executed.

Lucky for I think everyone we saw that coming down 75 near Macon today.
Bought a truck from a friend over the weekend and he had this 530i sitting in the yard.
I think it is pretty rare? with the 5 speed and little V8. Seemed to be a pretty nice car and he said he is going to sell it. I don't know much about it. I can find out more? or put you in touch with him? South of Atlanta Ga.
Speaking of Bentleys, here's a random Turbo RT I found here on the Outer Banks. One of 252 and our area code is 252. Coincidence? I think so.
In reply to Gasoline :
The 530 had coated aluminum cylinder liners, and the high sulfur content of US gasoline was basically dissolving it. The 530i was pretty rare to begin with and attrition took them off the roads quickly.
They fixed the problem for the 540i's engine. I'd like to say one has Alusil and the other Nikasil.
edit: And the 530i was recalled and the blocks were replaced, sometimes. There are FAQs to see how to check which block the engine has.
