I contacted two more vinyl places, see what they come back with. My biggest concern is the colors aren't "primary" shades of red, orange, and yellow, or I'd attempt myself with rolls of vinyl. Both places that have given quotes say they will sample the exisiting colors to match 100% and that's important to me.
The fact that the colors aren't primary is why I referred you to Land Design. That 41 sticker was made from this picture.

I asked him to clean it up and remove the cracks. This picture has been on the side of the building for a couple decades so it is faded.
Here is the best pic I have of it, sorry it isn't great. I also told Land not to worry about making this exact because every 41 we paint on the car is different. If you tried harder you could probably exactly match the color and fade of the original on your side decals.

One place came back slightly less but didn't communicate very well, left me uneasy.
Last weekend at the Cars and Coffee, someone had biz cards laying out so I took one. Turns out, he's done multiple cars I've seen there. Some with vinyl going back multiple years and still looking good. Simple shapes, full color stuff, partial and full wraps.
$450 for creating/installing all three color bits in all 3 places. Removal he said could be $50 for easy removal (I don't expect it to be) or $300 if it takes a few hours. Which is still WAY cheaper than the first guy. Looking through his gallery I think he knows what he's doing (said 14 years experience). I think I'm going to arrange a meeting.
