Why limit your horizons to sports cars? Other motorized vehicles offer just as much fun. Such as trucks. Planes. Or tanks? Yes, you read that last one right. Drive A Tank offers the opportunity to drive, you guessed it, a real tank.
Located in Kasota, Minnesota, Drive A Tank claims to be the only venue in America where you can …

To be fair, I do see tanks periodically pop up on Marketplace. I haven't bought one ... yet. Not sure how to street park one. Would it matter, though? Who's going to tow it?
I'm more about the DIY project tank

Wiki says:
The 1995 San Diego tank rampage was the theft of an M60A3 tank by Shawn Timothy Nelson and his destruction of cars and utilities in suburban San Diego, California, United States.
Nelson was a native Californian and United States Army veteran with unusual habits that drew the attention of his neighbors. By the second quarter of 1995, the 35-year-old had recently suffered financial, professional, and interpersonal setbacks, some of which stemmed from long-term substance abuse.
On May 17, he stole a 57.3-tonne (56.4-long-ton; 63.2-short-ton) tank from the local California Army National Guard armory and drove it around for six miles (9.7 km), crushing cars and infrastructure in his path—though without injuring anyone. The tank crashed and was partially disabled, and San Diego police forced it open before shooting and killing Nelson.
Nelson's motives are unknown. The incident raised questions about military security at the Guard armory and spurred changes in California's tank storage.
It's funny to see this brought up this week as last week we were eating sub's for lunch at Erbert & Gerbert's across the river in St Peter looking at this place on google on our way from Minneapolis to Yankton, SD to do a farm tour the next day.
We all agreed that crushing two cars for $849 seemed like a better value than one at $649, then we looked out at our rental van with full, no deductible insurance and wondered if they would charge anything if you brought your own vehicle.
I 100% expected this to be Las Vegas.

When we were at Grand Junction Motor Speedway for FM Summer Camp in 2018, there were a couple of tanks on the property. Word was they could be rented and driven through some derelict single-wide trailers that were also on the track property... I never looked into it, maybe Keith knows more?

Uh, Colin, you know there's a tank place like 25 minutes from your house, right?
I'll expect your report on my desk by Monday
Besides the tank place, there another place somewhere in Minnesota where you can go play with heavy equipment like backhoes, motor scrapers and other dirt moving stuff. I forget the location but it can probably be found with a google search.

There's also TankTown USA in Georgia. It was only about an hour or so from the Tail of the Dragon. We took a side-trip there while at TofD and Gatlinburg with the kiddo. I had just gotten my 501st Legion approval so I took my helmet. They also had that bucket thing for a small fee, I figured why not? Apparently they've added machine guns now (I went in 2018).

Not to spoil the fun, but the vehicle there is not a tank, its a Self Propelled Gun. Bigger gun than a tank, much thinner armor.

There is also drivetanks.com in TX. Demolition ranch used them once in awhile.

This is only relevant if you are expecting the target to return fire.
In reply to SKJSS (formerly Klayfish) :
I fully endorse driving a tank over this car. My mom had a Celebrity station wagon and it's one of my least favorite cars. The lock mechanisms often got stuck, which required me holding the doors closed as a young kid while we drove it to a mechanic. Unresolved issues, perhaps, but I'd gladly pay to drive a tank over one. Maybe you can bring your least favorite car, too, and vent some anger at it.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
But you can pull the key out of the ignition with it running, and it has the back-back flip up seats! Agreed, when we switched from the Celebrity to a Plymouth Grand Voyager when I was 10 it felt like I was getting into the future.
I have heard that you can, allegedly-supposedly-possibly drive a tank at this place and it's really close to a full little road course, Talladega Grand Prix Raceway

Wow sorry Colin we can no longer justify this as a corporate expense because of Aaron_King, who is also probably super fun at parties.
