I've owned this "Herbie" since 1984

After recently watching 1960s racing movies, "Lemans" and "Grand Prix," for the first time, I wonder if the original Herbie movies were meant as a spoof on those "serious" racing films(?)

I was a Herbie fan long before I was a car guy.

Wow... a real Herbie... I still have copies of those movies... In VHS...

Somehow, I don't think I'll be able to afford it.

I loved those movies growing up.

I enjoyed the Dean Jones versions the most.

I watched the original on Netflix a few months ago, before I dropped the disk option, and loved it again. Later they sent Herbie Goes Bananas, when I forgot to update my list. Horrible, just horrible.
