I'll bet he's done that once or three times before.

Kinda looks like he has started counting on his other hand for all the swaps he has already done. Way too precise at knowing what to do.

those are basically "plug and play" swaps. The 1.8t swap into my GTI is basically the same thing, just a minor bit of fab work.

So full of win!!

1) Getting his SO to help
2) Cleaning up the engine bay before swapping in the new motor
3) Laying a shirt on the seat to keep it clean
4) Putting it ALL back together (even the console) and vacuuming it before calling it done
5) All the tools (from what I could see) there and within reach ready to go

I agree he's probably done it a few times, but impressive non the less!!

And that's why i like k-cars more than any other fwd platform.. that was MASSIVE amount of work compared to any k-car motor swap ive ever done.

Id love to be swapping a tdi into a k or l car but im waiting for a smoking deal on a motor.
