It's a good looking car, but I can't help but feel it's a little too tall on the top side. Probably the stupid pedestrian standards. Ugh.

Specs? I haven't seen anything yet...

It is so pretty. My girlfriend said that it looks like a z4 done right.

Looks sexy, glad it doesn't have the huge mouth the rest of the model has. It seems to have some of the lines that I like about the Jaguars and Alfa 4C.

Wow I loved my 89 Mariner Blue with factory Hardtop.

The NB was not pretty and the NC seemed bulbous. This ND looks super nice. Tempting.

The car looks really good. Looking at the jalopnik link I thought the wheels looked like 16s. There's probably tons of room for wider than 195 tires under there.

The reveal really did suck. I thought we were getting the good details with it. I was born in 91 Mazda. Idk who the hell Duran Duran is lol

Body is very nice, but it's missing a fixed roof...if a miata came with a fixed roof and room to fit a 6'2" person very comfortably I'd consider one.

If my aunt had a d*ck, she'd be my uncle.

I got to give input about what I'd like to see in the ND a few years back. Mine was this: I am 6 foot 4 inches tall. I would like to sit in it comfortably without having to modify something like the seat.

I am looking forwarding to seeing one in person at the Miatas 25 event this weekend.

This is my number #1 issue! Please post any info/impressions you have after seeing it in person.

That's one thing the Frisbee twins got right - I'm 6'2" with a long torso and I fit fine in a BRZ. I owned a Miata for 3 months and gave up after I had carved all the foam out of the seat bottom and screwed up my spine by sitting directly on steel.

ND does look great!

16" wheeels really are an interesting choice for the base tires. I would definitely go with with 17" wheel option because the tire choices for 16" wheels are not the greatest. But just about every tire comes in a 205/45/17.

Looks great. Wheel size is a little off; thought 18" was the new 15".. What counts is the grin factor though. Is it as good as or better than?

As an NA owner, I figured I'd either love it or hate it. It came in with a solid "meh" for me. I like the overall lines, but it's also very plain. It almost looks more like a clay model to me than an actual, finished, ready for production car. (Maybe that's what it is, I guess I don't know for sure) I get that they were going for a simple look, but to me they went beyond simple to almost featureless. To me it contains almost no external nod to the original, which I guess I kind of hoped for.

If, however, it comes in with decent power and/or a coupe version, I could always make a quick stop at Autozone for some stick on hood scoops when these drift into my price range in, say, 2032.

I really like it as well. I'd love to know the specs however. A better reveal would have been to simply driver it on stage and have a guy going through the spec list. Know your audience Mazda!

As for Duran Duran...I didn't like them then...I don't like them now. They were HUGE in the mid to late '80's however.

They needed someone a bit more "angry" playing...or in opinion no music at all...just the car.

I keep hearing the 2200 lbs number being thrown about on the internet. I'd be willing to forgive a lot of styling issues for that. As more pictures emerge I like it more. The "official" pictures had that whole light playing over shapes weird photography thing going on. Even on the reveal stand they only used certain angles and lighting perhaps to highlight what they wanted? Whatever it is, the more pictures of the car from normal angles and with normal lighting, the better it looks.
Choice of engine will matter.

I stand by my earlier statement.

It looks like Lightning McQueen. Stick a couple of teeth in the mouth and it could be a stunt double.

I like it. It will be interesting to see one in person, but I'm going to keep my options open.

I originally had a 95 that I got in '97, but whe the NB's came out, and that I could get a factory plan on it, I got a '99 pretty quickly. IMHO, it was the same as the original, but slightly better at everything. And have had the car ever since. I tried the NC when my car started to get worn out, but didn't think it was enough better to get a new one. So this one is now an option.

Unless there is a miracle and an Alfa version comes out.

They say the 2.0L skyactiv wont fit.

I also say, if the car has gone DOWN in horsepower, Mazda has lost its marbles.

Extra horsepower is readily available in this day and age, packaging restraints be damned. If the old mzr made xxxhp and xxxtq, the new one should make at least that.

At the same time, neither the latest miata or frs are slow (high 14 second 1/4 miles are fast imo) for what they are. The nd miata weighing 2250lbs with 170hp (if the 2.5L skyactiv was used, 184hp and gobs oh torque) it woulr be a riot!
