a maroon on maroon Caprice Classic wagon, I think it was an '81.

I just remember it being hot all the time because of the vinyl interior. And it overheated on every family trip.

If I ever heard, I don't remember...it was 1931. Guessing a mid/late 20s Ford? Do recall they had a Model A when married.

1965 Mustang fastback, 289 with a four speed.  Their other car was a Triumph Spitfire, which three people, even if one was a newborn, didn't fit in very well.  My dad might have been doing a Kas Kastner rear suspension modification to it at the time anyways. He got rid of the Spitfire for a BMW 2002 when my sister came along.

I mentioned a '55 Olds but I was wrong.  My twin sisters were born in 1959 and now me being child #3 coming that September it was time for a new Ford Galaxie.  Pretty sure my dad hated that car.

My parents drove a candy apple red 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 fastback with the hi-po 289 when I was born. They traded it in when I was 3 for a red 1973 VW Bug because of the oil embargo.

My mother won a 1963 Renault R8 on a TV game show when I was 2 years old.

A few months later she was doing some shopping and locked me in the car while she went into the dry cleaners. I found the eggs in the top of the grocery bag, and proceeded to throw them at the windshield from INSIDE the car.  Passersby saw what was happening but couldn't stop me because she had locked the doors.  The eggs dropped down into the defroster.

She had that car for 15 years, but it always smelled like rotten eggs when she turned on the heat.

I came home in a year-old '49 Pontiac Streamliner Sedan-Coupe (straight 8, 2 door fastback.) I nearly bought one a few years ago but didn't have room in the garage. Should have rented space for it.

When I was four or five, my mom had a Pontiac Can-Am.  With the 455, it pulled the 24' sailboat we had with ease.

When they would load up at the end of the day, they would buy me a small bag of shrimp, and set me at the end of the dock with a Zebco.  Most of the time, the Perch would finish off my bag of shrimp about the time we were ready to go.  Well, one very hot August day, they weren't biting, so I had nearly a full bag of shrimp left.  I threw it in the cavernous trunk, and my mom didn't find it until three days later.  We didn't keep that car long.

Hmmm... Wiki says they only made the Can-Am in '77, so I would have been a couple of years older...

I believe my older brother and I were both born when my parents owned a red Volvo Amazon Wagon. They bought that in 1965, replacing a red Porsche 356 coupe. I have seen photos of both though none is in my possession currently.  My dad autocrossed (Gymkana at the time) an Austin-Healy Sprite from the mid 60's until the early 70's. Not sure if he owned that when I was born. This photo is probably in the late 60's or maybe very early 70's.  He won the overall Detroit Region championship one year.

Mom had a very rad 80's 5-series. Manual trans, it was custom painted burnt orange. She absolutely refused to change the oil in it and blew the motor up when I was 4 or 5.

In a laundry basket between the seats of a old cabover Ford van.  My mom brought it up when my daughter was born and the hospital checked our car seat before we went home to make sure it was safe.  My dad had that van forever because I remember it from when I was a kid, it was that pale garden hose green and had no seats in the back because he hauled bikes in it.  It's the whole tell me you were raised by bikers without telling me you were raised by bikers.   Looked like this random one I found.

I'm pretty sure I came home in the old Mercedes Benz--photo is same color, but not our car.  The other car we had was a red Volvo 544.  My dad believed foreign cars were just better, but I think it appealed to him because he married my mom, a German gal from Bavaria.  Soon, they ditched the Mercedes and Volvo for a BMW 1600 and a SAAB 99 GLE.  Good times, good times.

I was born in 85 and the *earliest* car I remember is a Celebrity Wagon. Was a brown eurosport. Not certain if I came home in it from the hospital or not. We also had a ble c1500 extended cab.

I mostly remember it because our neighbour bought it from us and used it as his daily until we moved.
