I run 8" wide wheels on my Astro and with a 245 tire the door would rub, but still open most of the way. With the current 225s on the same wheels the door opens completely. Anything with more width or offset is going to block the door, I would think

Of course, blocking the rear door for two days of The Challenge doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world. Just not something you would want for every day.
DeadSkunk:
Do the 8" wide wheels and 245's cause any issues in the front?
Any need for spacers or any rubbing while lock to lock?
Are you at standard ride height?
I wonder how hard it would be to weld on some hinges and a latch and make the rear doors swing open like the fronts instead of sliding?
I used to work on some dollar vans for a couple Hatian kids. They were Fords but the sliding doors were similar. I would cut the rear slider that went in the track on the body side and weld in an extension and it would stick out far enough to clear the running board and wide tired they liked to run.

The van is at the stock ride height and the 245s would lightly contact the fender liner if you were turning and hit a bump simultaneously. Not sure how much worse that might be with lowered suspension. Lowering would also involve stiffer springs and sway bar to autocross it, so it might still be doable. Also, I have no idea what offset my wheels are without removing one and measuring the back space.
