I had a 2000 automatic protege .It was a fun zippy car ,great gas mileage , great handling , unfortunately ny salt got to the trailing arm mount area and i had no garage to use my welder in to fix it .I am looking down south for a rust free model in the future ,5 speed , and not gold/beige lol

Enjoy the car! Fiance has a 2006 3, and the chassis on those is brilliant, so I would think the Protege would be a similar experience. Throw some sticky summer rubber under them and feel free to show up much more sporting cars in the canyons. ;-)
