I had to collect my son off the highway this morning after his bike dumped all the coolant out. He was an hour into a two hour ride home for the weekend in the early morning. He said the bike suddenly lost everything through the vent and the hi temp lite came on. He tried adding a litre bottle of drinking water and riding with the cap off but he got a kilometer and it boiled out again. So I went and picked him up. We have not looked yet as neither of us has time and he has a pickup, but I thought someone might know what these bikes are prone to. It is a. Very well maintained 2008 or so with about 30,000 miles. Summer toy only but he has been riding it for a month now and the last two summers with no issues. I suppose a head gasket perhaps but it's funny it popped so abruptly. Any thoughts?
