Early trek ebike?

Found this radness on Facebook marketplace but can't find any details on it.

I got basically nothing, it certainly is unusual.

• another one was on ebay at some point, the image still exists but IDK if there is a way to find the listing itself (from DuckDuckGo...I was beginning to think it sucked as a search engine, but Google has become awful!)

Yeah it peaked my curiosity and I'm normally pretty good at finding obscure stuff but only came across a couple of things on it. Figured it might be worth the $200 in rareness but didn't quite want to gamble.

I'd have to look it up, but I think a guy named DrkAngel on Endless Sphere has one that's modded and rodded to all hell. I think it uses a mid-drive attached to the crank and not a motor in the hub.

These used old lead-acids, not lithiums, and that's probably why they're offloading it.





According to the Trek "Brand Book", it's a 2001.
